The strikepen is a versatile tactical pen that can be used for many purposes. I keep this handy little pen in my purse, for not only safety purposes, but as a smooth writing ballpoint pen, a flat head screwdriver, a hex wrench, a LED flashlight, a bottle opener and a knife. It is about 6.5 inches long and has a precision milled alloy body with a tungsten striker tip for self defense and a steel clip for clipping onto to belt loops or shirt pockets. It also comes with extra ink and three LR936 batteries are included for the LED light on the top of the pen. I am going to walk you through some of the daily uses of the strikepen, so you can get a better idea of how it can be used in your daily life.
The Versatility Comes In Handy
The versatility of this pen comes in handy, especially when you are a way from home. The thing I like most about the strikepen, is that you don’t have to carry around a lot of different tools, because all of them are in one pen. They are lightweight, but are made tough enough to take a lot of abuse during a lifetime and tactical pens are very discreet, which is why they are often used by people of all walks of life from regular civilians to the military.
A Closer Look At The Tools Of The Tactical Pen
The first tool that we are going take a closer look at is the tungsten tip .The tungsten tip of a tactical pen can be used as a self defense weapon, because it has a very sharp tip that can be used for gauging or can be used to break glass if need be. The strikepen is a very smooth ballpoint writing pen that comes with extra ink. At the end of the pen, is a bright LED light that comes with three LR936 batteries.The LED light also has a strobe light effect that flashes and could scare away would be thieves. The only drawback to the LED light is that the on and off button is located on the side of the top part of the pen and is easily turned on in your purse or pocket and can run your batteries down, which happened to me. I am now a bit more careful where I put my pen in my purse or pocket, so I will not push the LED light button and run down my batteries again. A Flathead screwdriver, a hex wrench and a bottle opener tool is an all in one tool that comes with the strikepen and is a handy tool to have available in a pinch, if needed. The final tool that we are going to look at, is the knife tool, which could be used as a tool or as a weapon against a would be intruder. The only downside to the knife tool, is that the blade is not very sharp, but could be sharpened if you would like a sharper blade.

The Strikepen In Conclusion
In conclusion, based on the variety of tools and uses that the strikepen has and the precision milled alloy body that makes the pen very durable, I highly recommend the strikepen as a reliable tactical pen. The LED light button on the side of the top of the pen is one of cons that I have, as it could run your batteries down, but it is not a major concern, if careful. The other small problem I had with the strikepen, was that the knife blade was not sharp enough, but this is also not a major concern, as it could be sharpened if needed. All in all, I would highly recommend the strikepen as a handy self defense tool to have for your Every Day Carry Tool.
